Be Generous With Praise
Most people work very hard, do many kind things, refrain from hurting others, and yet they rarely get a pat on the back for it.
You can gain a place in their heart forever by praising them for something good they do. This may require you to do a little research.
Find out what the person has been working on. Is there a task they have put their best effort into? Take a look at their results and find something genuinely good to praise.
It is important to make sure your praise is honest and warranted. Shallow compliments are usually obvious and many people quietly resent them.
Handing out careful praise is not only a positive way to build up those around you, it is also a great marketing method. Nothing else wins friends and influences enemies as easily.
